Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie grew up in Nigeria. She is a prolific and award-winning author who has helped inspire new, cross-generational communication about the Biafran war in Nigeria and sparked a global dialogue through her proclamation that “We Should All Be Feminists.” Her TED talks have over 15 Million views. Her work has been translated into thirty languages and has appeared in various publications, including The New Yorker, Granta, The O. Henry Prize Stories, the Financial Times, and Zoetrope. Adichie’s novels have received the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize, the Orange Prize, the National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction and The Chicago Tribune Heartland Prize for Fiction. In 2008, Chimamanda received the prestigious MacArthur fellowship. Adichie divides her time between the United States and Nigeria.
