Brian Greenberg serves as an advisor and board member to some of the most innovative and successful education organizations, technology companies, and foundations in the country. Brian currently advises and supports Stand Together Trust, the Charter School Growth Fund, Kyron Learning, The City Fund, Ignite Reading, The Disagreement, Overgrad, The Girard Foundation, and Rally Reader.

 

Prior to founding his advisory services firm, Brian was the founder and CEO of the Silicon Schools Fund, one of the nation’s premiere Venture Philanthropy funds. In this role, he raised over $110M from some of the top philanthropists and investors in the sector. He supported the launch of well-known and innovative schools and education organizations, directly serving over 35,000 students.

 

Previously, Brian was a school founder, launching one of the top-ranked high schools in California and served as the Chief Academic Officer of a network of schools in the Bay Area. He worked as a teacher in Los Angeles Unified, in politics on statewide and national campaigns, and in higher education at Carnegie Mellon University. Brian is an instructor and course creator on the Coursera platform, a Stanford University Principal Fellow, and an Aspen Institute Pahara Fellow. Brian is also an active board member for the California Charter School Association, the Head-Royce School, and the Silicon Schools Fund. He Is a previous board member of the Prospect Sierra School, California Youth and Government, and Pacific Charter School Development (PCSD). Brian received his B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.Ed. from Harvard University. He lives in Oakland, CA with his wife and two teenage kids.
