Western Addition Community Access Point

Model and Strategy

Western Addition Community Access Point provides a continuum of community-based services such as employment opportunities, housing and other resources, case management, advocacy, available for all community members in need. Services are provided free to everyone. WACTC has recognized milestones for successful community integration which include employment and education, mentoring sessions, stable housing and family lives, and all services necessary to aid in their path toward self-sufficiency. The organization encourages its clients to Pay It Forward with incoming clients, creating ongoing recovery and reflection. Through education and training, WACTC sends skilled clients into the workforce, earning a legitimate income, purchasing from local businesses, buying/renting homes, and enjoying family outings at local attractions in San Francisco. This makes for a thriving community and city, decreases the unemployment rate, and lowers violence and drug activity in the neighborhoods. Communities will thrive once again.
