A leader in the field of progressive urban policy, Bruce Katz has served as counsel and eventually staff director of the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Housing and Urban Affairs and as the chief of staff and senior policy advisor at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. In addition to his work with the Brookings Institution and Metropolitan Policy Program, Katz is also the co-author of The Metropolitan Revolution, a distillation of his work on the emerging metropolitan-led "next economy”.
