Election officials are responsible for implementing election legislation, educating voters, designing materials, recruiting and training poll workers, and properly equipping polling locations for all sorts of contingencies. Election officials across the country face common challenges, but historically there’s been little, if any, infrastructure to help solve them. To fill this gap, CTCL has become a trusted provider of professional development for election departments. CTCL leads online and in-person training that teaches election officials to: – Use the internet to provide critical information by means that modern communities expect – on the web, on mobile phones, via social media. – Leverage data to gain new insights and optimize resources to ensure a smooth voting process. – Understand the needs of their voters, including how technology is used across different demographics and how to integrate accessibility considerations into content and operations. – Implement pro-voter legislation and policies. – Safeguard U.S. voting systems by adopting best practices in election security.
