Model and Strategy
Saúde Criança's methodology shows families the tools for success and inspires the agency necessary to achieve it. This methodology will help to end poverty by ameliorating the negative effects and diminishing the causes of poor health, allowing families to send their children to school and earn livelihoods that pave the way out of poverty. Over the course of generations, the tools learned at Saúde Criança spread to the grandchildren of these families and throughout their communities, accelerating the end of poverty.
Impact
Offering vocational training courses for 200 family members per year
Repairing 50 homes per year
Ensuring that all school age children are enrolled
Offering psychological, and nutritional assistance to families
Donating orthopedic and respiratory devices and domestic utensils and appliances when needed
Providing transportation allowance to families according to their needs related to activities offered at Saúde Criança, medical consultations
Ultimately supporting individual and family self sufficiency
