Dayna Long is an attending pediatrician at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and Spokesperson for Too Small to Fail, the national outreach campaign promoting the research on the science behind children’s brain development, early learning and early health. As an expert in social health determinants, Dr. Long’s focus on the correlations between children’s environments and long term health outcomes has implications far beyond the healthcare industry. Through the use of mobile technology and other electronic health tools, she is exploring new frontiers of patient-care provider coordination and approaching whole child care differently.
