Model and Strategy
Homeboy Industries works to break the cycle of violence and incarceration, through job opportunities and comprehensive wrap-around services for gang members and previously incarcerated individuals. These include specialized training as well as industry-recognized certifications and academic classes to help members develop vocational life-skills and meet personal goals.

Break the intergenerational cycle of poverty and violence
Improve public safety and create healthier communities
Provide paid, on-the-job training for at least 200 individuals per year
Provide trainees with individual case management to help them establish and attain the vocational, educational, and therapeutic goals of their training program
Provide a curriculum of 40 academic, vocational, life-skills, and wellness classes
Provide employment services including resume-building assistance, interview preparation, and job referrals
