Each One Reach One

Adapt: A Dream And A Plan For Tomorrow

Model and Strategy

Each One Reach One's ADAPT: A Dream and A Plan for Tomorrow is an umbrella wrap-around program comprised of six detention and two community-based programs serving high risk youth of color between the ages of 16-19. Programs are provided at eight different facilities and Community High Schools in San Mateo, San Francisco, and Santa Clara Counties serving over 400 youth per year. ADAPT's GED Program prepares high-risk incarcerated youth to take GED Exams. It is designed to address the specific academic needs of incarcerated youth who are 17 years old and will not earn the necessary credits to obtain a high school diploma prior to turning 18, putting them at serious risk for entering the adult prison system upon release. These youth volunteer to participate and give up their free time one evening per week to study with their tutor.
