A New Way of Life Re-Entry Project

A New Way of Life Re-Entry Project

Model and Strategy

A New Way of Life Re-entry Project (ANWOL) provides a continuum of community-based resources such as housing, case management, advocacy, leadership development and pro bono legal services for formerly incarcerated women.

Re-entry programs support incarcereted people throughout their transition into a productive life after incarceration. They address their immediate and long-term needs including housing, employment and healthcare. A smooth reintegration experience helps them get back on their feet, not back in jail.

Impact

Providing extensive services and resources, creating a foundation on which residents can rebuild stable lives.
Offering sober living accommodations that respect residents’ autonomy.
Supporting personal transformations and empowering residents to understand and overcome their experience of incarceration.
During their residence, more women will complete the ten benchmarks for improved health, well-being and self-sufficiency.
