Battery Powered Awards $1.13M to Combat Loneliness
Battery Powered is proud to support eight organizations working to combat loneliness by creating new pathways to connection, belonging, and community in an increasingly isolated world. Through this giving theme, our members came together to direct more than $1.13 million toward organizations reimagining how people build relationships, find support, and experience community in everyday life.

COMBATING LONELINESS GRANTEES
$108,770 to reduce social isolation for people with disabilities through accessible gaming, adaptive technology, and inclusive community-building experiences that foster connection and belonging.
Addiction Education Society
$109,981 to help adolescents better understand the neuroscience of addiction, emotional wellbeing, and loneliness through evidence-based prevention education delivered in schools and community settings.
Community Plate + Relational Tech Project
$127,466 to bring people together across difference through thoughtfully designed shared meals, while developing open-source tools and resources that help communities create and sustain connection locally.
Entitled Futures
$251,750 to create trusted, community-based spaces where young people can access mental health support, peer connection, and healing relationships integrated into everyday life.
Foundation for Social Connection
$142,381 to advance research, policy, and cross-sector collaboration that helps communities and institutions embed social connection into programs, systems, and public life.
Reimagine
$128,636 to transform experiences of grief, caregiving, illness, and major life transitions into opportunities for connection, meaning, and mutual support through gatherings, cohorts, and digital community-building tools.
Warm Cookies of the Revolution
$135,823 to create joyful, creative civic experiences that bring people together across lines of difference and help participants build stronger relationships with one another and their communities.
Z Space
$128,016 to foster connection and belonging through live performance, participatory arts programming, and community-centered cultural experiences that bring people together in shared physical space.
